Definir el tema o contenido de una galería de imágenes suele ser una tarea no fácil. Porque....¿qué tan específica debería ser una galería? Algunos prefieren definirlas por cada ciudad o lugar que han visitado o por cada especie de animal o flor que han fotografiado. En este sitio en cambio, preferimos pensar de distinta manera: las imágenes las apreciamos por ellas mismas no por el nombre del lugar o el sujeto que muestran, las guardamos por lo que ella nos trasmite, nos hace sentir, no por otro motivo.
En consecuencia, se presentan en principio cuatro simples galerías, pensadas en función de cuatro grandes ramas de un mismo tronco que es nuestro universo, cada una conteniendo imágenes relacionadas con un objeto principal: el amplio mundo de la naturaleza (Paisajes), los animales que la habitan en plena libertad (Fauna), los lugares construídos por el ser humano para vivir en comunidad (Civilización) y finalmente la clásica mirada del mundo en base a texturas y claroscuros, o dicho de otra manera, un mundo pintado en escala de grises (Blanco y Negro). A ellas se les suman galerías que pueden resultar más específicas, porque reflejan una exhibición, un tema o un viaje en particular.
Defining the subject or content of a gallery is usually a difficult task, because: how specific a gallery should be?. Some people like to define a gallery for each city they have visited or each species of animals or flowers they have photographed. In this site we think in a different manner: images are important by themselves not by the name of the place or the subject they show. We enjoy an image because of the feelings it transmits to us, or at least for the photographer, obviously your point of view may be different.
Thus, the galleries have been thought as a tree with four main branches containing images related the four main subjects that constitutes our universe: the ample world of the nature (Landscapes), the animals that live there in freedom (Wildlife), the places that were build up by people for living as a community (Civilisation) and the classical view as textures and lights and shadows, namely a world painted in a grey scale (Black and White). To these main galleries, we add now some galleries that may result from something more specific: for instance an exhibition, a particular subject, or a significant trip.
